Elite meets Amateur

This morning, i had a chat with my friend known as Deeman Franz WeirdScience. Here are his shots:

I was curious about him doing post-editing works and the software he's using but he revealed the he just pre-edit. He blend the exposures, shutter speed and aperture before shooting... nice!  Wish I was that good.
The "expert" gave me some tips:
   1. Don't shoot at fixed contrast
   2. Lessen the contrast
   3. Blend the contrast in shutter speed

here are my attempts in doing the tips:

set on 0 contrast, less 2 stops, 0 saturation, vivid shooting mode

set on the lowest contrast, less 2 stops, +2 saturation, vivid shooting mode

still working on outdoor using these tips =)
